The Calgary Commandery raises funds through private donations, corporate donations and other fundraising efforts by volunteer members.

The Order directly benefits palliative care, education and training in southern Alberta, and continues the fight against leprosy where it occurs.

Palliative Care Patient

The funding by the Calgary Commandery for hospice and palliative care is strictly dedicated to the purchase of specific equipment or initiatives for accredited institutions.

Smaller donations can be aggregated or supplemented by the Commandery's funding to maximize impact for expensive special projects.

The Commandery has access to a global community of best practices with regard to palliative care and training which can inform strategic investment in Alberta to ensure southern Alberta is operating with the best possible equipment, training and procedures.

The Commandery has strong institutional knowledge of the southern Alberta care environment and can direct investment to where it is needed most.

The Commandery provides bursaries which support students in ecumenical studies at the University of Calgary. Donations can be directed to these bursaries if desired.

All administration costs of the Calgary Commandery are covered by individual member donations or volunteer hours.

The order is a registered Canadian charity and can issue tax receipts.
